The Cité des Arts invited me together with Position to make a site specific installation in the exhibition space of the building.

I made the installation Kiezwege Chambery. Like the other Kizwege-projects, I again mapped the routes of people moving to and from the exhibition space.
In order to do so, I asked any visitor that came into the building to fill in a form and write down the address where they just came from. The same for all the people exiting the building: where are you headed?

All the routes that were filled in I mapped on the floor of the exhibition space with coloured adhesive tape: Red for the incoming, green for the outgoing routes.
The floor was covered with an imaginary map of the vity centre of Chambery, with the position of the Cité des Arts right in the centre of the floor.
Instead of drawing the lines straight from one point to the other, i made them follow the strong geometric grid of the floor tiles.

In the end a green and red coloured web of lines covered the floor.
