iCal/uCal consists out of two series:
In the iCal series, each painting is visualisation of one of the 52 weeks in Willem Besselink's 2012 diary.The uCal series also has 52 paintings, but the visualisations are taken from the weekly 2012 diaries of 52 different people – maybe yours?
As the iCal / uCal series develops, personal lives are abstracted, objectified and visualised, and eventually presented as individual works of art. Each weekly painting is different whilst showing resemblances to the others. In this way, the artist offers a glimpse into his and maybe your own personal life.
You can participate as a financial sponsor to the project by commissioning Willem Besselink to visualise a week from your 2012 agenda. You can purchase the painting by transferring €5 a week for one year. For a total of €260 you'll receive a unique painting: a visualisation of your personal daily life.

State the week-number that you want a visualisation of. Choose a special week, or an ordinary one; maybe it's a week you are meeting Willem Besselink, or the week you are on vacation.
Once participating, you’ll receive more information about the process, and notification about your chosen week's availability (each week can only be chosen once). You’ll have the opportunity to purchase the counterpart from the iCal series during the February 2013 exhibition.
