Two city plans of the same 1:10.000 scale, each 2.5 x 2.5 meters, form a cubical space: the plan of Rotterdam is lying on the floor, the Berlin one is suspended 2.5 meters above it.
Each day during my stay in Berlin from March to July 2005 – 125 days – I registered my position in the city at six fixed intervals. These data (time x location) were presented by six glass beads of different colour per day, attached to nylon wires suspended from the Berlin plan.

The beads not only marked my geographical positions within each day, but also the chronology within the total period of my stay in Berlin: the Z-axis from top to floor marked the total time range - the early days on top, close to Berlin; the last days, close to the floor, close to Rotterdam. This also enabled the viewer to compare the scale and size of the two cities.
The final work, initially a registration, but not one primarily intended to be readable as a normal graph would be, eventually became an object, an installation.
