For the exhibition Mining I made the installtion 10 facts about Hoorn.

One hundred bars, made out of wooden sheets, hanging from a hundred lines from pulleys in the 8 meter high ceiling.
The sheets dangling, rotating and vibrating in space. Some hang higher, some hang close to the floor.

Apparantly the installation looks chaotic, the sheets hanging randomly in space.
But the installation is based on five different sets of statistical data: about Hoorn on the one hand site
Like for example the outcome of the municipal elections, or the daily expenses by the average Hoornenaar.

On the other hand it was based on statistical data sets about me and my stay in Hoorn, so for examplemy own political preferences if I would live in Hoorn, and my daily expenses during my stay in Hoorn.
